Project name:

Neve Zedek House

Location:

Neve Zedek Neighborhood, Tel Aviv

Size:

Approximately 2000 m2

Year:

2011

A residential house adjacent to a picturesque alley and bordering a designated park area, which will be created in the wadi. The house ascends to views of the neighborhood, the Mediterranean Sea and Old Jaffa.

The architectural language selected aimed at building a contemporary house, yet designing a building that would reflect the spirit of the neighborhood. This was achieved by breaking down the large mass to create two main levels: at the front - salient elements typical to Neve Zedek, such as plaster walls, wooden shutters, iron railings and balconies that hover over the back 'modern' level - characterized by glass and iron walls.

Ramat Aviv Penthouse

Location:

Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv

Size:

160 m2 + 40 m2 porch

Year:

2009

A residential apartment in Tel Aviv for a family of four (a couple and two children). The original design of the apartment made it too crowded and a more spacious layout was required. This was achieved by a diagonal wall (which generated an interesting dynamics and created a separation between private and common areas), the blending of areas whithin the common space and the integration of inner-outer spaces. For creating a lively, modern and colorful environment, the design language selected employed rich colors and materials. The same language, but with a different blend of the colors and materials according to residents and functionality, was used to create harmony between the common and private areas.

Competitions

'Ot Haitzuv' Design Competition

and participation at the Israeli Conference for Architecture and Design 2010

'Ot Haitzuv' is a design competition which concludes with an exhibition, showcasing leading architects and designers in Israel. In the first phase of the competition 3 projects were presented (our offices, Ramat Aviv penthouse and offices in a tower building, Petah Tikva). The work presented reflected the spirit behind each project. All three projects were selected for presentation at the exhibition in Tel-Aviv, which showcased the top (150 out of over a 1000 projects) candidates that applied and passed the first phase.

Later on, we were selected, together with 70 other architects and designers, to present at the Israeli Conference for Architecture and Design 2010, held in 'Heichal Hatarbut' in Tel-Aviv, in our company's pavilion. The pavilion concept was to present our studio as a ThinkSpace, a space where new spaces are conceived, showcasing the various projects on four combined screens using a dynamic presentation. It was important for us to convey our values of clean lines, surprising, dynamic and innovative architecture, together with our use of advanced technologies.

Haifa City Square Competition

Presentations are due on June 24, 2010

We are participating at the Haifa City Square Competition together with Impact Architects. In this competition, our goal is to convey our vision of urban renewal.
